CompanySoap™ is owned and operated by Kathy and Ken Jurn in Algonac, Michigan and has been in operation for more than 25 years --- thanks to our dedicated customer base.

Our goal is to provide you with natural soaps and body products that are good for you and not exorbitantly priced.  We use only natural, biodegradable ingredients and no chemicals whatsoever.  Were you aware that you are only as healthy as what you put on your skin?  Your skin is the largest organ that you have and absorbs everything (including chemicals) that you put on it; you might consider this your skin nutrition!  You might want to keep this in mind the next time you buy that cheap bar of soap at the discount store.  These soaps usually have an initially lower outlay (cost less) but they might possibly cost you more in the long run with regard to dry skin, rashes, or any number of allergic reactions.

New Additions for 2012:

• De-Fishing Soap – We’ve discontinued making our bar Fisherman’s Soap and replaced it with this liquid alternative.  It’s specially formulated to lift fish and bait odors and neutralize even the most persistent smells.  It comes in a convenient 4.5 ounce squirt container – small enough to carry in your pocket or fishing tackle box!  It’s completely biodegradable; made in the USA with all natural products; and contains no animal products.
• Charcoal Detox Soap – Activated charcoal is extremely detoxifying and wonderfully healing at the same time.  It works to absorb toxins from the skin and render them harmless, protecting it from free radicals and other damaging substances that cause aging, fine lines, and wrinkles.  It’s a natural disinfectant and aids in healing skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.  It is used to cleanse and whiten you skin, unclog pores, remove impurities and dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin, resulting in supple, delicate and smooth skin.
• Eucalyptus Soap – Eucalyptus is best known for its ability to aid respiratory ailments.  It is highly anti-microbial and has antibiotic, antifungal, antiparasitic, antiseptic, antiviral, and stimulant properties.  Shea butter is naturally rich in Vitamins A and E which provide healthy skin collagen while Vitamin F soothes rough dry skin.
• Pomegranate Zinfandel Soap – Our new venture into wine-based soap.  It’s full of antioxidants that buffer the effects of free radical damage along with nutrients that add lather.

About Our Products

Our primary focus is to provide products that promote healthy skin.  We make each and every bar of soap with the most effective and basic ingredients provided by nature.  Our products are made to be used, not to be room deodorizers.

We employ a three-part blend of pure skin-loving “TLC” oils (tallow for a smooth, firm bar of soap; lard for hardness; and coconut oil that creates lots of glycerin and big bubbly lather) combined with: grains, nuts, herbs, milks, botanicals, honey, butters, natural colorants, and essential oils and phthalate-free fragrance oils.

Handcrafted True Soap, which is what CompanySoap™ produces, is made by combining oils and fats with an alkali and water.  Although lye is used to make true soap, the chemical reaction between all of the ingredients used in the soap making process cause the lye to be literally “reacted away”, leaving behind a mild, effective bar of pure handcrafted soap.  Our soaps have a neutral pH, which is very gentle to the skin and not drying.

Our lip balms do not contain any petroleum based products or mineral oil.  They are non-waxy, color-free, and infused with a healing and soothing blend of comfrey and calendula.

CompanySoap™ Products Are:

• All handmade!
• Not prepared using pre-made commercial bases, kits or fillers.
• Free of harsh detergents, alcohol, perfumes, mineral oil, lanolin, sudsing agents, chemical dyes, or sodium lauryl sulfate.
• Individually hand wrapped to keep them sanitary and fresh until your use.
• Not tested on animals – except our Bowser Bath Bar which is meant to be used on dogs.
• Gentle enough for even the most sensitive or delicate of skin.
• Resplendent with natural glycerin, an innate product of the handcrafted soap making process.
• Soaps that moisturize and clean with a soft, creamy, bubbly lather that won’t leave skin dry, tight-feeling, or itchy.
• Lightly scented and not overwhelming.
• Air cured for approximately 8 weeks in order to last longer.
• Longer lasting than Glycerin or Olive Oil based soaps.
• Will not melt if left in direct sunlight.

Shelf Life:

Since products are all-natural and contain no added preservatives (except the lotion, which contains a minuscule amount in order to prevent separation of the water and oils), it is best if you utilize your soaps, shampoo, balms and lotions within a year of purchase.
